Hünnebeck Polska supplies formwork systems for large-scale Warsaw project
First phase of construction of Poleczki Business Park is underway
RATINGEN/PIASECZNO, February 2009 Close to Warsaw’s Okecie Airport, the construction of Poland’s biggest business complex started at the end of May 2008. This is a joint investment project of the companies UBM Realitätenentwicklung AG and CA Immo International AG. Covering a surface area of 200,000 m², a complex of twelve buildings accommodating office premises, retailing, restaurants, warehouses, parking space and a hotel is to be erected over the next eight years. The formwork and scaffold specialist Hünnebeck Polska, a subsidiary of the Ratingen-based Hünnebeck Group, is supplying the equipment for the construction of three buildings belonging to the first stage of the Poleczki Business Park scheme.
The project is being realized in two stages on the periphery of the Mokotów office district. Phase one including the office and retail space is to be completed in 2010, and phase two and hence the complex as a whole in 2015. With the ground-breaking ceremony for Poleczki Business Park only a short while back in September 2008, concreting work is now in full flow. With advanced formwork systems from Hünnebeck designed for highly efficient erection and stripping, the walls and slabs of the lower floors have already been poured.
To shutter the slabs, the versatile VARIOMAX wooden beam was used on the sublevels. The quickly erected system consists solely of wooden beams, props and formwork panels. On the above-ground levels, the slabs are being concreted with TOPEC. Crucial to the decision in favor of the aluminum frame formwork was not only the uniform concrete appearance, but also its simple erection. It only takes three steps: The formwork panels are hooked onto the props, lifted up and propped. Quick and efficient procedures are also required for the building of the walls – a typical case for heavy-duty MANTO large-frame formwork, which is especially suitable for large-scale projects in the industrial and housing sectors. Shuttering work is proceeding on schedule. Poleczki Business Park is growing – aided by expertise from Hünnebeck Polska.
